| 20. When making your own hollow grinder for tapering back the
relief on your knife blade we recommend using a motor with a low 1,725

Secondly, a lot of speed just throws particles faster and faster. Learn

“As an avid fisherman and Hunter, I refuse to be caught without the Razor Edge sharpening equipment. While fishing the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in MN on a regular basis like I do, it is absolutely vital for me to have sharp hooks and a sharp fillet knife. The accuracy of a sharp knife leaves more meat on the fillet and less on the bone. As far as my fish hooks go, I have yet to loose a fish due to a dull hook after using the Razor Edge Fish hook sharpener. In my 30 years of being an outdoorsman, I have yet to find a product that is in the same league as Razor Edge Systems sharpening products.

All my life since I was a little boy (I'm 44 years old ) I have wanted to be able to really sharpen a knife razor sharp. I love to hunt and fish and I have always enjoyed collecting knives. I bought just about every knife sharpening gadget ever sold and have never found one that works, not one, until tonight. You see, my dear wife got me a UP10 Ultimate Professional model sharpening kit from you. When I first opened it up, I was impressed by the quality of the materials and workmanship, but was still very skeptical about if it would really work. I dug out the instructions and thought, I've got to fire this baby up. However, I caught sight of your book. I wanted so badly to really be able to sharpen a knife, I thought, I am going to read this mans whole book even if it kills me, and then if this thing doesn't work, I'm driving to MInnesota ! As I started into your book I was pleasantly surprised to find it was very well written, easy to read and understand, and even made me laugh out loud a number of times. It took me until tonight after work to finish the book and then with some degree of confidence because what I had read made sense, I sharpened my first knife using your technique and system. TO MY DELIGHT AND AMAZEMENT it came out razor, shaving sharp the very first time. I couldn't believe it, I now knew for the rest of my life I would always have a razor sharp knife to use! I proceeded to sharpen four more, each time going in to shave hair off my arm for my wife.
You have made me very happy by delivering what you promised, all too rare in our world today. I am confident I will sell a number of these sharpeners for you in years to come. You have an absolutely outstanding product, well done!
God's blessings on you, your family, and your business. Thank you.

Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know my purchase experience with your company was a pleasure. I have been in the service business for over 30 years and I know what a value it is to have employees, such as the young lady who answered and took my order over the phone, working as a team. I love the product and will be a regular customer. Knife sharpening has been a hobby of mine over the years. It offers me an opportunity to express talent in a manner that my busy schedule allows. Again thank you for a pleasurable purchase experience.

When you are going after one of the most dangerous animals that are on the earth today, with a bow, you do not want to leave anything to chance. There are enough things that can go wrong even after careful planning. The one thing that I had no doubt about was the edge on my broad heads since they were sharpened by Razor Edge Systems. A few details about the hunt. A Cape buffalo's ribs overlap and are very strong. That is why I needed a very strong, heavy, sharp broad head. A rifle kills primarily by shock. An arrow kills strictly by hemorrhage. In other words you have to cut major arteries or veins. On a Buffalo this area is protected by the armor like ribs. The broad head you sharpened went through the shoulder muscle, ribs, through both lungs just above the top of the heart, the ribs on the other side with the point stopping just under the hide on that side. In other words, total penetration. The bow I used had a draw weight of 93 pounds and a kinetic energy factor of 84. An extremely powerful weapon. The broad head was still sharp when I recovered it. There has only been a handful of Cape buffalo taken with a bow. I feel fortunate to be one of the few. They are arguably one of the most dangerous animals on earth. When you see them up close an arrow looks very insignificant.

Just received your book, what an informative read! Have sharpened 4 knives and my chainsaw using your instructions and can only say WOW! Anyone who owns an edged piece of equipment should be required to own and read your text.

Dear Razor Edge Systems,
My name is Mike Cordes, I live in Tonkawa, OK. Over the years trying to catch spotted bass on crank baits, I would become frustrated losing them at the boat or after the second jump. I do not know just exactly where or when I heard about the System, but it was the best thing I have ever done in the fishing world. I started out sharpening the treble hooks on the crank baits, and then moved on to the worm hooks for bass fishing. All the bass that I used to miss are just that, used to! People would just scoff at what I would say, and then I would toss crank bait to them!! They would make the mistake closing their hand on the two sets of treble hooks. Yes, they would start bleeding from the penetration of the Razor Edge sharpened hooks!! That would usually prove my Points!! I have hooked spotted bass in the back of the head and landed them with only one of the trebles in their head, the top of the head! I have hooked spotted bass in the tail before only one treble in the tail. I have hooked spotted bass in or below the dorsal fin, one treble of course. I guess that I am an avid proponent of the Razor's Edge System. I have accidentally put too many tru-turns 3/0's thru my thumb nail not to know that they are the sharpest hooks out there, AFTER you put the Razor's Edge hone to them. I have sharpened about 600 crank baits over the past few years, for myself and for others, usually as Christmas gifts. You know, they would always have a smile on their faces as they CAREFULLY removed the wrapping from them!!! Keep the sun to your back, nose to the wind, eyes on the horizon, hand on the throttle, crosshairs level, hooks sharpened.

Hello,
I have recently purchased your book and read it quickly. I thought I had a fair understanding of the sharpening process, and still believe I did. But now, I feel a lot better than “fair”. I just took a XX case folder that I could never get sharp even right from the box and freehanded my way to a shaving edge, a real shaving edge in just a few minutes. To top it off, I know “why” the knife is sharp. Thanks for your work to remove the great mystery.

…All I can say is WOW!!!
I am truly honored to receive such a beautiful and high quality gift from you. I have put these tools to the test by sharpening knives owned by friends, family and myself and have found that the quality both of the tools and the edge they produce is far superior to anything I have seen. Having owned the industrial Razor Edge System and having worked with them in my job for nearly eight years, I am used to the superior quality that you put out. The Professional Sharpening Kit further proved to me that you folks are the best at what you do. I look forward to promoting your products through my business and in my travels.

For over 20 years I have wondered why my knives were never sharp! I have tried every gadget in existence! Finally, I stumbled on the advertisement that you ran in Fine Cooking Magazine (Mousetrap® Steel MT17), and I purchased your book and studied it carefully. Even without using the sharpening guides, I can now achieve an edge sharper than with all of the gadgets I previously owned. What a fantastic book! Thank you for taking the time to write it!

700 cows in 8 hrs with one knife and it still shaves the hair off my arm (not that there's much left after showing it off so much!) I'm sold on your system. Be ready for more orders from all the guys at work.

This book slashes through the old wives tales and misinformation in which the subject of knife sharpening has been known to be shrouded. Juranitch teaches with authority, and gives specific instructions which with a little practice make it fairly straight forward to get knives amazingly sharp. He also recommends the guides and hones manufactured by his own company. Though a little skeptical, I bought some equipment and found its performance to be out his claims. Amazon has been indication for quite a while that the publisher is out of stock; however the book is available for the Razor Edge Systems website. Amazon.com Customer Reviews

Thanks to your prompt response, I received my order in time to give it to my friend at his birthday party. Both he and his wife were delighted. His filletting knife, which I had sharpened for him using your system, was pressed into service by his wife to do the party. It carved the turkey, sliced the bread, and did all the kitchen cutting. He gave a demonstration of how a knife can cut.
Knives sharpened with your system have become legend from Pine River Minn. to Ludington Mich. I even let other fishermen try out my knives. (Preferably cleaning MY fish!) I don't know how much business this has translated into for you, but it has saved me a lot of time in the fish house. Full credit is given to your system.
Thanks for a great response and a great product.
